Swedenborg describes the afterlife in great detail in his book Heaven and Hell. He discusses God, heaven, hell, angels, spirits, and devils, as well as who belongs in heaven and hell. Are there any Jews, Muslims, or pre-Christians in paradise, such as pagan Romans and Greeks? He claims that loving one’s self or the world leads to hell, but loving God and one’s fellow man leads to heaven.
