Manxmouse

Manxmouse

Paul Gallico

“‘In the first place, it wasn’t grey, but a completely wild blue,” the dust jacket says. It possessed the body of an opossum, the back feet of a kangaroo, the front paws of a monkey, and long, rabbit-like ears instead of tiny and translucent ones. Furthermore, they were blue on the outside and wildly orange on the inside. The worst part was that it didn’t have a tail.’ The fact that he has peculiar characteristics – and no tail – isn’t the only thing that distinguishes Manxmouse from other mice; he also has an exceptionally kind and loving personality, and is so naive about the ways of the world that he knows nothing about them.
