The Metamorphosis 

Franz Kafka’s short novel “The Metamorphosis” (original German title: “Die Verwandlung”) was originally published in 1915. It is frequently considered as one of the twentieth century’s major works of fiction, and it is widely studied in colleges and institutions around the Western world. The storey starts with Gregor Samsa, a travelling salesman, waking up to discover himself transformed into an insect.
